Extended Closed Reason and Deceased Reasoning Functionality

This feature has been rolled out across all customers and is now completed

We have now added the ability to record closed reason types, replacing the previous freetext box when closing a service user.

When closing a resident record and selecting ‘Deceased’ as the reason, users will now be prompted to record whether the death was expected or unexpected.

The update ensures that every service can consistently capture this important information, supporting improved accuracy in reporting and compliance monitoring. This change enables care home managers and reporting teams to better analyse death trends across their services and helps strengthen overall governance and quality assurance.
