Due to the need for capturing detailed notes on residents who have a syringe driver, two new icons have been created which have a new form on the device to guide you through filling out the necessary information. This will help ensure more accurate and detailed care notes.
Setup & Change Icon
The syringe driver setup and change icon can be accessed on the care app either as planned care or as an ad hoc care action. Click the icon under the Medical section.
To then record the Setup & Change details click the Set Up / Change slider:
This will take you to a form on the device, to record detailed information:
The red asterisk indicates the fields are mandatory.
Once filled out, a care note will be created based on this information:
Continue to fill out the rest of the care note as normal and flag this as an accident/incident if needed. Once saved, this will then display under the care notes report and the resident’s profile as the standard care note workflow.
Check Icon
The syringe driver check icon can be accessed on the care app either as planned care or as an ad hoc care action. Click the icon under the Medical section.
To record the check details click the Check slider:
This will take the user to a form on the device, where they can record detailed information:

Once filled out, a care note will be created based on this information:

It is possible to plan both of these icons under Plan Care Day:
To do so, click on the Add SD Setup/Change button and you will be taken to the medication plan care day form to fill out:
This can then be added to the planned care at the appropriate times.
