NOW AVAILABLE - Smart Care Notes

Written by Rachel Martin

Accurate falls reporting is an important area where non-compliance can impact safety and the evidence required to regulators for number of falls.

To improve the compliance and accuracy of care records, a prompt has been added in Monitor for falls when entering a care note via the Daily Records, to guide a user to the correct icons.

When accessing any resident record and clicking on Add daily record, click on the care note you wish to add a care note for.

When clicking on Complete a notification will popup suggesting a fall should be recorded based on the keyword(s) used.

The following keywords will trigger this prompt:

  • Fall

  • Fell

  • Fallen

  • Floor

  • Trip

  • Slip

  • Falling

  • Tumbled

  • Collapsed

  • Stumbled

  • Staggered

  • Gave way

  • Slumped

  • Ground

  • Dropped

  • Slipped

  • Tripped

If clicking Yes the care note for Fall will be included as a together with and the existing care note already written will remain, so both care notes can be created.

When clicking complete, both the current care note and the falls care note will be created, ensuring the falls charts are kept up to date.

If clicking No, the action will be cancelled and only the current care note will be created.
