How Do I Change Care Planning to 3rd Person?

Written by Rachel Martin

What Access Do I Need to Change Care Planning to 3rd Person?

You will need to have admin access to the system. To find out if you have access to this you can see if you can see the 'Admin' button or a small 'Cog' symbol to the right of the 'Links' tab.

If you are unable to see the admin tab then you will either need to ask your home manager to create this community on their staff account or ask them to provide you with the access right of 'Change communities/sites and organisations customisation'. Admin access to the system should only be provided to managers within the home or senior members of staff that make changes. We do not advise making any changes within the admin section without prior knowledge of what the changes do as this can cause issues at a home/organisation level.

Changing Care Planning to 3rd Person

1) Click on Admin > Organisation Details

2) Click on the 'Service User' community or any sub-community that you would like to switch this setting on for. This setting can be switched on per individual service user community. The service user profile will need to be within that community that you have switched on this setting for.

3) On the left side of the screen you will see an option called 'New Care planning is done in the third person by default'. When you tick this option all new resident files created in that community will then default any information from assessments completed, to be written in 3rd person.

4) When you have completed all required assessments/forms for the newly created resident after switching on this setting, you will need to then go to your 'Initial Assessment' and click on 'Auto fill blanks from informs'.

5) This will pull through key information from the assessments/forms you have completed for the resident and the populated text will appear in 3rd person by default.

Please note that this setting will only function for any new resident files that have not had the initial assessment completed for them. For any existing residents currently on the system you will need to manually update this information via the Current Assessment.
